Pray for upcoming Youth Gathering and Family Fair….

The planning is heating up for the lutheran border youth gathering (July 11 to the 14th) and the family fair (July 14th).  Legna Lanza has coordinated the youth gathering and youth as far away as San Luis Rio Colorado (from the east a 4 hour bus trip) and Ensenada to the south west are attending.  There will be 40 youth descending on theproperty here at El Mesias Lutheran Church where we also have our CPTLN offices.  There is a faith building, group bonding, and fun activities planned event.  It appears thatmore than 40 are expected since youth from the DIF Tijuana Temporary Shelter are also invited.

On Saturday the 14th, a family fair is planned and will be fellowship for all the missions in Tijuana, plus an outreach event, plus the closing day of the youth gathering plus we will have a group of 25 youth and coordinators from the Ioway group. It looks like we are planning for 200+.  Pray for all the coordinators and participants.  The logistics are somewhat of a challenge.

The idea of the family fair came after exploring some ways to support the mission effort here in Tijuana by Paul Marting, who had served in youth ministry for many years and over several years led youth groups in mission trips to Tijuana. His heart is so invested in the ministry here in Tijuana he wanted to be a support in making this gathering a reality.  We are so thankful for Paul.  If the name sounds familiar it is because he is the son of Lou Marting, Regional Governor for the LLL.

Thank you for your prayers!
