Outreach to the Elderly

 CPTLN was invited to sponsor an outreach to the elderly. 132 elder men and women were present. 

This is the home of one of the elderly women who received a blanket this day.  

Here staff member, Tere Montoya, begins to distribute hand made quilts which Orphan Grain Train brought us. This day we were able to distribute 75 adult and 17 child quilts.  The fact that the quilts were lovingly made by women, some of them elderly, really touched these folks. Not only quilts, but vitamins, tooth brushes and paste were distributed.

This is Maria Cadena who serves this group of elderly.  We have made a request that Pastor Josue del Carmen of our mission Lirio de los Valles be allowed to visit the group and bring them a word of comfort and joy.  Maria Cadena also asked if perhaps CPTLN could sponsor a conference on the topic of one of our booklets, “Facing Illness” 

This gentleman is a regular worshipper at our Lutheran mission, “Lirio de los Valles.”
