Prayer for Brad

Please pray for Brad. He and his family have supported the work in Tijuana for years and I was just in their home a few weekends ago when I was in Nebraska.  They found he had a brain tumor just a few days ago and he is undergoing surgery this morning.  Please pray God’s mercies and power to heal him completely. Pray skill for the drs. and comfort for his family during this time.

Update 3/1/08:  They removed the tumor. It was cancer.  They will be doing chemotherapy. Please continue to pray for Brad and his family.

Update 3/6/08: Where do we begin to thank you for all of your continued prayers, comforting words, uplifting cards, caring e-mails, and wonderful Bible verses to cling to!  God is so good and we have so many reasons to praise Him for what He has done for Brad and our family!   Brad came home last Friday after just three days since his surgery and has been recovering so quickly!  He is truly amazing everyone and we fully know it’s by God’s great love and grace that he is!!!   He is already spending time at work and actually accomplishing many things!

We’ve met with several Drs. including the Oncologist and Radiation Dr…(today).  The type of tumor/cancer he has is “glioblastoma”…probably the worst of the cancers and very aggressive, but we continue to draw strength from God’s Holy Word, words of comfort, strength, peace, love, assurance, endurance….and most of all we draw strength from all of your prayers.  We know that God is using our family to bring glory to His Name and be a witness for Him…He has been preparing us for this very moment!   Already, “our testimony” is reaching people in Fort Meyers, FL, Vail, CO, Manhattan, KS, Lincoln, NE, and  far off places!  We BELIEVE GOD CAN HEAL Brad COMPLETELY if He chooses, but we must also BELIEVE that if He chooses not to….Brad still gets “HEAVEN” with a WELCOME mat at the front door and…”FREE of his nasty “tumor and cancer”.  Either way as Paul says…”he gains”!  And we do too when “That Day” gets here!
His radiation/chemo pill will start late next week…..radiation – M-F, chemo pill – every day….for 6 weeks.  The Drs. told him he would have little side effects if none (praise God)…no hair loss (which for Brad…is not a problem! Ha!)  After the treatment, he will have an MRI scan on June 2nd to determin whether treatment was successful or not….PLEASE  PLEASE  PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR BROTHER BRAD….especially leading up to that date!  We will fully Trust God for His divine Answers and we will continue to give Him Praise for ALL He has shown us thru His might Hands to this present day!
I love what my sister, Jane shared with me from Martin Luther…..”We only “LIVE” for Two Days…..for “THIS DAY” and for “THAT DAY”…..This Day is “TODAY” and That Day is “ETERNITY”!  How true is that!
We love you all and can’t thank you enough for all the prayer support that has stretched from coast to coast and internationally, too!
In Christ forever!
Jean…Romans 8:28

We may be going thru our “Good Fridays” now, but our “Easter Sunday” is a com’in!
