Workshop on Christian Counseling

Kathy was excited to visit the new church and greet Marta and her family again.  She got to see the new church…..and it is beautiful.  All Saints had the privilege of providing funds for the baptismal font and the arm rest of the altar rail.  Kathy was able to counsel with two families before beginning the workshop on “Christian Counseling”.  It was wonderful to see how she counsels directly from God’s Word. There was much interest and many good questions.

We have discussed working as a team to produce a new counseling booklet (with tips and specific Scripture) on responses to common problems.

After lunch and special music by one of the women of the mission, an elderly lady with a beautiful voice who sang a song of praise to God,  we headed to the office for several more hours of putting together the packets, copying materials and finalizing the program for tomorrow that will help community day care workers and other ministry leaders learn how to teach the faith to young children effectively and with little or no cost! Quite a challenge but Kathy and her “team” have plenty of creativity and are fulfilling their mission.

We were happy we had a productive day and we decided to drive out to see the ocean just in time to see a beautiful sunset and have a lobster dinner at Puerto Nuevo. At home, we finished up certificates and the girls were still creating samples of activities late into the night.  Tere sent me a text right now that she finished up putting together the packets for each of the community day care workers and ministry  leaders who will attend the workshop tomorrow. She still has to put together the folders.  We are tired, yes……but it is a GOOD tired.
