I had a great visit with the ladies and my dear sisters in Christ from Zone 8 which was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montebello. I spoke about the Heart to Heart Sisters program and also about the ministry in Mexico. I got to meet some new ladies from two of the hispanic congregations there in East Los Angeles. I am looking forward to spending more time with them at the upcoming Lutheran Women in Mission District Convention next month. Pastor Springer gave a wonderful meditation on mercy. Pastor Springer was also interested in doing some teaching for pastors and lay leaders in Tijuana. It is just delightful and a mutual encouragement to meet new members of the family of faith and spend time talking about the Father’s business!
