Proyecto JOEL extreme retreat

Legna, Proyecto JOEL director, led 13 youth and 3 adults in a retreat.  Three of the youth are unchurched friends of youth from our lutheran missions. The youth had as their guiding text Philippians 4:13 and this retreat was an opportunity to live their Christian values and learning to depend on God in all circumstances. [...]

I spoke to Eric Rivera today who is part of a remarkable ministry near Fresno called GLEANINGS.  They rescue fruit and other food that is bruised or otherwise would probably be left to rot.  They dry the fruit, mix trail mix and package dried soup which is provided to people in need around the world.  [...]
