Thanks for prayers…..

Back in November we planned our study schedule and planned a study of the Book of Acts. What a blessing that study was to our particular situation here in Tijuana. The study of the persecution of the early church took on a whole new perspective.  We began with a devotional based on Psalm 90.  What a wonderful way the Lord has of encouraging His children with the gift of His word and His own Self. He certainly covered our time with peace….His peace which surpasses all understanding.

More prayer requests from today’s staff meeting.  We are praying for Legna that the Lord would look favorably on some paperwork that is needed.  Also, that the Proyecto JOEL program continues to reach many young people.  The marital arts program will be considered for admittance to the professional organization which would allow the young people of JOEL to enter competitions.

Pray also for young 8 year old girl that a Good Samaritan took for medical attention to the volunteer pharmacist of the elder community groups.  She had been horribly abused by a stepfather and is now in the hospital as drs consider whether they can save or will need to amputate her toes that were so badly burned by cigarette burns.  She is very mal nourished and looks more like a 5 year old than her actual age.  We will be visiting her and providing her with new underwear and gently used clothes contributed by Concordia Lutheran Church and a doll, the only thing she requested, so that she can play with the little girl in the bed next to hers!
