We worked to arrange for the transport of the pews, altar, altar cross etc from Concordia Lutheran Church in Chula Vista to churches in Tijuana. We had negotiated a customs fee and the rest. Tuesday we picked up a truck load of pews in Chula Vista and the transport was detained some 6 hours in Tijuana! So again yesterday morning they set out to finish the journey. Thankfully late yesterday the last was crossed and delivered to their respective new homes.

Here, Pastor Abdiel of San Pablo Lutheran Church is arranging the church furniture in his newly expanded sanctuary. He is delighted with this gift. Yes, another church will be blessed with pews too! Pastor Abdiel is one of our faithful partners.
Thank you prayer partners especially on Facebook (www.facebook.com/melissasalomon) who prayed with us as the saga dragged on! While I was at the exhibit booth I was able to update everyone on facebook from what Tere in my office was texting me!

It’s such a blessing to us to see “our” pews (the Lord’s pews) blessing other congregations! Glad they made it safely. The driver of the truck was very brave!
It is amazing how God opens safe paths for us to follow -Only south of our border could the driver get this load delivered safely – he never would have made it on I-5 or 8
